Specifically concerned with the police department focusing on revenue generating infractions rather than taking care of the serious amount of crime in Springville. The police department tries to enforce 1960's anti-first Amendment laws and then has to defend their illegal actions at the expense of tax payers, just to remove the law from the municipal law books. These kinds of wasted efforts cost tax payers significantly, meanwhile Springville is losing many young lives to excessive prescription drug abuse.
One officer will tell you it's ok to do something and another will tell you the complete opposite. So how are civilians supposed to know which answer is right. They seem to have no problems leaving a 2 and a half year old with the person she watched beat and abuse her mother. He packed up all his and the babies stuff while her mother was in the hospital. Protect and serve? I don't think they know the meaning of their own motto. Pathetic
Female officer Lindsey Halladay was rude and abusive to my daughter and grand-daughter on August 2nd. She and other officers surrounded my daughter at a car wash a few blocks from our residence in Springville. They physically took my grand-daughter away from her mother causing both a lot of mental trauma. Halladay said my grand-daughter was in danger, and said she was sending her to Florida to be with her father. The detective was abusive and threatening to my daughter and gave no prior notice or reason why she was taking her three year old away, and she did not even allow them to say goodbye to each other. My daughter and grand-daughter had been living with me for 8 months. The detective told my daughter to move to Florida even though custody had been established in Utah. Extreme Nazi behavior from local cops. We will be taking legal action. also my daughter was further harassed and detained a few days later by other officers without cause.
I’m a prior police officer/ marine vet, and I’ve never been so disrespected like I did on Oct 31, the police officer who dealt with me doesn’t know how to do community policing. I would thing at the rank he is in, would know. I got pulled over for underglow which this SGT officer told me it’s illegal and was saying it’s in the Utah safety handbook. But under the Utah Law code book there is nothing saying anything about underglow. He was sayin the officers ive delt with for the same issues are idiots cause thy said I just can’t have red, blue or flashing. I’m super happy I’m leaving this city and I’ve only been living here for 1 month.
It's nice to know that Springville officers file police reports with false information given by very not credible people who aren't even involved with the situation without even talking to the people who were actually there. It's alright. Abuse of power has to come from somewhere right? I've lived in this city all my life and it's sad to say that I don't feel protected by the law enforcement. I don't feel safe.
